جامعة البلمند توقّع مذكرة تفاهم مع BIAT لتعزيز ريادة الأعمال والتنمية المستدامة
وقّعت جامعة البلمند ومؤسّسة “بيات” BIAT مذكرة تفاهم في 3 نيسان 2025، تهدف إلى إنشاء مركز تطوير الأعمال (BDC) بالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة والصناعة في طرابلس، كما وتهدف إلى دعم رواد الأعمال المحليين وتعزيز التنمية المستدامة وتدعيم الابحاث.
تتعاون جامعة البلمند وجمعية BIAT لإنشاء مركز حيوي (BDC) يعزّز ريادة الأعمال، البحث، والنمو الاقتصادي في شمال لبنان ليكون منصّة مميزة للطلاب، ورواد الأعمال، وخبراء الصناعة. كما ويعمل المركز على توفير موارد أساسية مثل مساحات العمل المشتركة، والتمويل، والإرشاد، وبرامج التنمية المستدامة التي تتماشى مع أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة (SDGs).
بموجب هذا التعاون، تقدّم جامعة البلمند منشآتها، وخبراتها الأكاديمية، وبنيتها التحتية لدعم أنشطة المركز، بينما تتولى BIAT إدارة الأنشطة اليومية، وتأمين التمويل، والإشراف على تنفيذ البرامج والمشاريع التي تحقق أهداف التنمية المستدامة. كما يساهم هذا التعاون في تبادل المعرفة، ما يساعد الطلاب على اكتساب خبرات عملية في مجالات ريادة الأعمال، والبحوث، والابتكار.
صرّح الدكتور الياس وراق، رئيس جامعة البلمند، قائلاً: “يُعتبر هذا التعاون فرصة كبيرة لتنمية الإبداع والابتكار لدى طلابنا، حيث يتيح لهم فرصة التفاعل المباشر مع الواقع العملي ومع تحديات السوق. كما أنّ الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص تساهم في بناء جسور من التواصل بين التعليم الأكاديمي واحتياجات المجتمع الصناعي والتجاري ما ينعكس إيجابياً على الجامعة والمجتمع المحلي”.
أمّا الاستاذ نصري معوّض، رئيس مجلس إدارة BIAT ومديرها التنفيذي، فأكَّد أنَّ “مركز تطوير الأعمال (BDC) الذي نطلقه اليوم، والذي يتمّ تنفيذه بين مؤسسة BIAT وجامعة البلمند وبالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة في طرابلس، أي بين رائدَين في الشمال، يهدف إلى توسيع وتعزيز منظومة ريادة الأعمال في شمال لبنان وربطها بمنظومة ريادة الأعمال في لبنان”.
بدوره، سلّط رئيس غرفة التجارة والصناعة، الأستاذ توفيق دبوسي، في كلمته الضوء على أهمية الشراكة مع جامعة البلمند من خلال الاتفاقية مع مؤسسةBIAT ، التي تعتبر الشريك الاستراتيجي لغرفة التجارة والصناعة في تطوير الطاقات البشرية في مختلف المجالات بالتعاون مع مؤسسة رينيه معوض. وأضاف قائلاً: “من
الضروري أن تتكاتف هذه المؤسسات المرموقة لتقديم صورة مشرقة عن المجتمع اللبناني، حيث يثبت اللبنانيون نجاحهم عالمياً، ويجب علينا أن نعمل معاً لتمكينهم من النجاح داخل وطنهم.”
من ناحيته شدد النائب ميشال معوّض، الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة رينه معوض أنَّ “التجارب السابقة أظهرت أن بناء البلد لا يتحقق من خلال التركيز على منطقة معيّنة أو على قطاعٍ واحد، بل من خلال التنوع والشمولية. وهذا الأمر يتطلب بناء بنى تحتية، لا سيما في الشمال، يتيح للأفراد من تحقيق إمكانياتهم وتعزيز قدراتهم. وما يحدث اليوم هو بداية تعاون مثمر بين جامعة البلمند، غرفة التجارة والصناعة ومؤسسةBIAT “.
يُعدّ هذا التعاون خطوة هامة نحو تعزيز ريادة الأعمال والتنمية المستدامة في شمال لبنان، حيث يسهم في توفير بيئة حاضنة للابتكار والنمو، ويعكس التزام جامعة البلمند ومؤسسة BIAT بتطوير مجتمع طلابي وريادي قادر على مواجهة التحديات المستقبلية.
University of Balamand Signs MOU with BIAT to Foster Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development in North Lebanon
Balamand, April 3, 2025: The University of Balamand (UOB) and the Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 3rd, 2025, to collaborate on establishing a new Business Development Center (BDC) in North Lebanon, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Tripoli (CCIAT). The MOU aims to support local entrepreneurs, promote the commercialization of research, and drive sustainable development through joint initiatives.
UOB and BIAT are joining forces to create the BDC, a hub for entrepreneurship, research, and regional economic growth, which will provide a unique platform for students, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to collaborate. It will also offer essential resources such as coworking spaces, funding, mentorship, and sustainable development programs aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dr. Elias Warrak, President of UOB, stated: “This collaboration is a great opportunity to foster creativity and innovation among our students, as it provides them with the chance to engage directly with real-world practices and market challenges. Additionally, the partnership with the private sector helps build bridges of communication between academic education and the needs of the industrial and commercial sectors, which positively impacts both the university and the local community.”
Mr. Nasri Mouawad, CEO and Chairman of BIAT, announced: “The BDC we are launching today, implemented through a partnership between BIAT, UOB, and in collaboration with the CCIAT, represents a collaboration between two leaders in the North. Its goal is to expand and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in North Lebanon and connect it with the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem in Lebanon.”
Under this partnership, UOB will provide its facilities, academic expertise, and infrastructure to support the BDC’s operations, while BIAT will manage the day-to-day activities, secure funding, and oversee the implementation of incubator programs and SDG-aligned projects.
The collaboration will also foster knowledge exchange, helping students gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, research, and innovation.
In his speech, Mr. Toufic Dabbousi, President of CCIAT, highlighted the importance of the partnership with the University of Balamand through the agreement with BIAT, which serves as the Chamber’s strategic partner in developing human capacities across various fields, in collaboration with the René Moawad Foundation.” He added: “It is important for these prestigious institutions to unite in presenting a bright image of our society, where Lebanese individuals prove their success globally. We must work together to empower them to thrive in their own country.”
MP Michel Moawad, Executive Chairman of the René Moawad Foundation, emphasized: “Previous experiences have shown that building the country is not achieved by focusing on one region, but rather through diversity and inclusion. Building infrastructure also requires building the talents of individuals help them realize their full potential. What is happening today is the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between UOB, CCIAT and BIAT.”
This collaboration is an important step towards enhancing entrepreneurship and sustainable development in North Lebanon, as it contributes to providing an environment that fosters innovation and growth. It reflects the commitment of UOB and BIAT to developing a student and entrepreneurial community capable of facing future challenges.
Protocole d’accord entre L’Université de Balamand et BIAT pour promouvoir l’entrepreneuriat et le développement durable
Balamand, le 3 Avril 2025 : Un protocole d’accord a été signé, le 3 Avril 2025, entre L’Université de Balamand et Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT), pour coopérer à la mise en place du centre de développement des affaires (BDC) dans le nord du Liban. Le protocole vise à soutenir les entrepreneurs locaux, à promouvoir le développement durable et à soutenir la recherche.
L’Université de Balamand et BIAT collaborent pour établir un centre dynamique (BDC) qui favorisera l’entrepreneuriat, la recherche, et la croissance économique dans le nord du Liban, et servira de plateforme unique pour les étudiants, les entrepreneurs, et les experts de l’industrie. Le centre travaille également à fournir des ressources de base telles que des espaces de travail collaboratif, du financement, du mentorat et des programmes de développement durable conformes aux objectifs de développement durable des Nations Unies (SDGs).
A cette occasion, le président de l’Université Balamand, le Dr Elias Warrak, a précisé, dans son discours, que « Cette collaboration est une excellente opportunité de développer la créativité et l’innovation chez nos étudiants, en leur permettant d’interagir directement avec la réalité pratique et les défis du marché. Le partenariat avec le secteur privé contribue également à établir des liens entre l’enseignement universitaire et les besoins du monde industriel et commercial, ce qui a un impact positif sur l’université et la communauté locale. »
Le président-directeur général de BIAT, M. Nasri Moawad, a déclaré : « Le Centre de développement des affaires (BDC) que nous lançons aujourd’hui, qui est mis en œuvre entre BIAT et l’Université de Balamand, en coopération avec la Chambre de commerce de Tripoli, et entre deux pionniers du Nord, vise à étendre et à renforcer le système entrepreneurial du Nord du Liban et à le connecter à l’écosystème entrepreneurial du Liban. »
En vertu de ce protocole, L’Université de Balamand offre les installations, l’expertise académique et l’infrastructure pour soutenir les activités du Centre, tandis que BIAT gère les activités quotidiennes, assure le financement et supervise la mise en œuvre des programmes et projets qui permettent d’atteindre les objectifs de développement durable. Cette coopération contribue également à l’échange de connaissances, ce qui permet aux étudiants d’acquérir des expériences pratiques dans les domaines de l’entrepreneuriat, de la recherche et de l’innovation.
De son côté, le président de la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie, M. Toufic Dabbousi, a souligné l’importance du partenariat avec l’Université de Balamand à travers l’accord avec BIAT, qui est le partenaire stratégique de la Chambre dans le développement du capital humain dans divers domaines, en coopération avec la Fondation René Moawad ». Il a ajouté : « Il est essentiel que ces institutions prestigieuses unissent leurs forces pour présenter une image réelle de la société libanaise, parce que les Libanais prouvent leur succès à l’échelle mondiale, et nous devons travailler ensemble pour leur permettre de réussir dans leur patrie. »
Le député Michel Moawad, directeur général de la Fondation René Moawad, a annoncé que « l’expérience passée a montré que la construction d’un pays ne se fait pas en se concentrant sur une seule région, mais plutôt par la diversité et l’inclusion. La construction d’infrastructures nécessite également de renforcer les capacités des individus pour qu’ils puissent réaliser leur potentiel. Ce qui se passe aujourd’hui marque le début d’une collaboration fructueuse entre l’Université de Balamand, la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie et BIAT. »
Cette collaboration représente une étape importante vers la promotion de l’entrepreneuriat et du développement durable dans le nord du Liban, où elle contribue à offrir un environnement d’incubation pour l’innovation et la croissance, et reflète l’engagement de l’Université de Balamand et BIAT à développer une communauté étudiante et entrepreneuriale capable de relever les défis futurs.
