جامعة البلمند تحتفل بتخرّج طلاب برنامج التعليم الطبي…
نظّمت جامعة البلمند، للمرة الثانية على التوالي، حفل تخرّج طلاب برنامج التعليم الطبي Postgraduate Medical Education في 11 حزيران 2026، حيث تمّ تخريج 72 طالبًا وطالبة من كلية الطب والعلوم الطبية بعد استكمالهم جميع متطلبات التخرّج بنجاح.
وقد حضر الحفل وزير الصحة العامة الدكتور ركان نصرالدين، رئيس جامعة البلمند الدكتور الياس وراق، نقيب الاطباء في بيروت الدكتور الياس شلالا، نقيب المستشفيات الخاصة في لبنان الدكتور بيار يارد، رئيس المجلس الوطني للبحوث العلمية في لبنان الدكتور أسعد عيد، نائب الرئيس لشؤون الطب وعميد كلية الطب والعلوم الطبية في جامعة البلمند الدكتور سامي عازار، إلى جانب مدراء المستشفيات وممثّلي المؤسسات الصحية اللبنانية، بالإضافة إلى عائلات الخريجين وأصدقائهم.
في كلمته أشاد الوزير بالدور المحوري الذي تؤدّيه الجامعات اللبنانية رغم التحدّيات الراهنة، قائلاً: “في خضمّ الأزمات التي يمرّ بها لبنان، تواصل جامعاتنا أداء رسالتها الأكاديمية والوطنية، من خلال تخريج دفعات من الأطباء يتمتّعون بكفاءة علمية ومهنية عالية”. ووجّه رسالة إلى الخريجين قال فيها: “أنتم أطباؤنا، أنتم الجيش الأبيض الذي نفخر به وبإنجازاته. احملوا رسالتكم الإنسانية والوطنية بكل إخلاص، وتذكّروا دائماً أن مسؤوليتكم لا تقتصر على ممارسة المهنة فحسب، بل تمتدّ إلى خدمة مجتمعكم ووطنكم. فلبنان يحتاج إلى علمكم وكفاءتكم والتزامكم”.
أضاف معاليه أن أفضل لغة في مهنة الطب هي لغة العلم والإنسانية، فالمريض لا يسأل عن طائفة الطبيب أو انتمائه الحزبي لأن كل ما يهمه إنسانية الطبيب وكفاءته. وهذه هي الرسالة الواجب علينا تطبيقها في حياتنا العملية وواقعنا الوطني.
أمّا الدكتور ورّاق فخاطب الخريجين قائلاً: “اليوم، لم تعودوا أطباءً قيد التدريب، بل أصبحتم مهنيين مستقلّين أوكلت إليكم واحدة من أسمى المسؤوليات الإنسانية وأكثرها نبلاً: رعاية الحياة البشرية والحفاظ عليها”. وأضاف: “كونوا أطباءً إنسانيين، لا تقتصر مهارتكم على إتقان العلوم والتقنيات الطبية فحسب، بل ترتكز أيضاً على التعاطف والحكمة والرحمة. مارسوا مهنتكم بإنسانية، تصرّفوا بحكمة، وقدّموا الرعاية بعطف واحترام لكرامة الإنسان”.
وقد سلّط الدكتور سامي عازار الضوء على ما تحلّى به الخريجون من عزيمةٍ وصمود في مواجهة التحديات، معتبراً أن هذه التجارب شكّلت ركيزةً أساسية في بناء شخصياتهم وإعدادهم لمستقبلهم المهني، قائلاً: “اليوم هو أكثر من مجرد حفل تخرّج. إنّه دليل على أنكم أنجزتم أمراً صعباً وحقيقياً بكل ما للكلمة من معنى. فأنتم لم تسلكوا الطريق السهل. وفي الحقيقة، لست متأكداً أن لبنان قدّم لأيٍّ منا طريقاً سهلاً في السنوات الأخيرة. ولعلّ هذا ما يجعلكم تغادرون اليوم أكثر قوةً وخبرةً واستعداداً لمواجهة مسؤولياتكم المهنية”.
يعكس هذا الاحتفال الدور الكبير الذي تلعبه جامعة البلمند في تنمية وتطوير مستقبل المجال الطبي، وتعزيز جودة أنظمة الرعاية الصحية في لبنان وخارجه.
University of Balamand Celebrates PGME Commencement Ceremony
The University of Balamand (UOB) held its second Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) Commencement Ceremony on June 11, 2026. The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 72 residents and fellows from the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences who successfully completed all their program requirements.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Health Dr. Rakan Nasereddine, UOB President Dr. Elias Warrak, President of the Lebanese Order of Physicians in Beirut Dr. Elias Chelala, President of the Syndicate of Private Hospitals in Lebanon Dr. Pierre Yared, President of the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research Dr. Assaad Eid, Vice President for Medical Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at UOB Dr. Sami Azar, hospital directors and representatives from leading Lebanese healthcare institutions, and the proud families and parents of the graduates.
In his speech, the Minister praised the vital role of Lebanese universities despite ongoing challenges, stating: “Amid the crises Lebanon continues to face, our universities remain committed to their academic and national mission, graduating highly competent and well-trained physicians.” Addressing the graduates, he said: “You are our doctors, the white army of whom we are immensely proud. Carry your humanitarian and national mission with dedication, and remember that your responsibility extends beyond the practice of medicine to serving your community and your country. Lebanon needs your knowledge, expertise, and commitment.”
Dr. Warrak stated in his address to the graduates: “Today, you are no longer physicians in training. You become independent professionals entrusted with one of humanity’s most noble responsibilities: the care and preservation of human life.” He added: “Be human physicians—not merely highly skilled technicians like smart medical robots mastering sophisticated technologies. Practice with empathy. Lead with wisdom. And Care with compassion.”
Dr. Azar reflected on the resilience and determination that defined the graduates’ journey: “Tonight is more than a graduation ceremony. It is proof that you accomplished something difficult, meaningful, and profoundly real. You did not take the easy path. In truth, I am not sure Lebanon has offered anyone an easy path recently. But perhaps that is precisely why you leave stronger than you arrived. Your persistence shaped you. Your adaptability strengthened you. And your resilience defined you.”
The ceremony reflected the university’s growing role in shaping the future of medical education and strengthening healthcare systems in Lebanon and beyond.
